Cocktail Collaboration: Strawberry with Lee Noble
Last week, we teamed up with cocktail extraordinaire Lee Noble. Lee is a good friend of ours and a key player in the Philadelphia cocktail scene. He pitched the idea of crafting strawberry based cocktails, an homage to summer and the abundance of fresh, local produce. We were instantly on board and set out to add a strawberry twist to some of our favorite drinks.
Ultimately, we settled on two (technically three) variations that we think you’ll love. Check out our cocktails below and head over to Lee’s Instagram page to see his creation. Be sure to give him a follow for more cocktail inspiration!
Madame Tallien's Bath
If you’re wondering, Madame Tallien was a French noble who bathed in strawberry juice. You’ll want to dive right into the glass, but we suggest taking your time and savoring every sip.
We made this cocktail with Philadelphia’s favorite, Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin, but you can use any gin (or whiskey) you prefer!
Desdemona’s Handkerchief
In Shakespeare’s Othello, Desdemona is gifted a handkerchief spotted with strawberries as a token of Othello’s love for her. Share this cocktail with someone special and let it serve as your very own token of love.
This particular recipe uses a black pepper whiskey from Lancaster’s own Thistle Finch and can be prepared with or without egg whites! If you are unable to find a black pepper whiskey, simply choose your favorite whiskey and add black pepper to taste!
Thanks again to Lee Noble for the inspiration! We hope you enjoy these cocktails as much as we do. Cheers!
